Fast growing small ornamental tree is sometimes called Chaste Tree or Vitex. Usually multi-trunked. Spikes of lavender blue flowers appear in summer and fall. Leaves are aromatic. Pink and white varieties sometimes available. 'Montrose Purple', 'LeCompte', and 'Shoal Creek', are Texas Superstar selections.
